At BUCHEN Industrial Services, we provide you with a versatile service offering for catalyst handling and treatment. In doing so, we use newly developed processes in addition to existing technologies. Thanks to this innovation, working on catalysts becomes significantly safer and more efficient.
Totally up to speed with a whole range of production facilities
BUCHEN Industrial Services offers a full range of services for catalyst replacements. In this respect, we handle replacements in a normal and in a nitrogen atmosphere. During this process, we empty the various types of storage vessels and reactors, then thoroughly clean and reload them. This includes installing all the necessary equipment needed to do a good job. Once the job is finished, all this will be carefully removed.
But we do more than just empty, clean and reload the various types of storage vessels. We also separate the fine material and inert ceramic balls from the catalyst. Moreover, we also provide further handling and treatment of all materials and parts that need replacing. Examples are the catalyst, molecular sieves, activated carbon and pearlite. In addition to that, BUCHEN Industrial Services takes full charge of all maintenance work associated with catalyst handling and treatment.

Loading and unloading
Emptying reactors
- Emptying reactors by allowing them to drain naturally - gravitational dumping
- Emptying reactors using vacuum systems. Both with and without the use of nitrogen.
- Thanks to our material-friendly soft-flow equipment, reactors undergo low friction and are better protected from breakage.
Loading reactors
- Dense loading such as UOP, DENSICAT®, CALYDENS®, Linde and Catapac™.
- Sock Loading.

Screening & mechanical work
Screening the catalyst
- Removing the dust from the catalyst.
